Best dive-season / How to get there: International fligths reach Cebu airport, from here you can take either a domestic flight to Dumaguete city or a boat to the same destination. Local dive shops arrange pick ups from Dumaguete to their resort. Masaplod is reached in 10 minutes by boat.Masaplod Sanctuary starts at 5meter depth and coveras an area about 50m width. Most of the corals here are hard corals, with tabvle corals and some rock boulders inbetween. Many sandy areas host blue spotted rays and a big variety of reef fish including groups, snappers and sweetlips.
Usually you also encounter a big shoal of big eye mackerel and the usual macro critters including leaf fish and many nudibranchs.
