Best dive-season / How to get there: Domestic flight carriers reach Dumaguette city located on Negros Island. There are also several shipping companies which reach Dumaguette.The local Dive Shops usually take less then an hour to reach Apo Island by banka boat and do a two tank dive out at the island.

Apo Island is located of the southeastern tip of Negros Island approx. 30 km from Dumaguette city. The island is around 3 km in diameter and offers a beautiful coral reef which is protected since 1982.

The Island has nice beaches with impressive rock formations. Underwater you have a good variety on reef fishes cruising the steep walls of the island. Currents can be very strong here so therefore you have a good chanche to encounter some pelagic fish and a resident shoal of bigeye mackerel is always present.
