Best dive-season / How to get there: International flights to cebu airport, from there it's a 3 1/2 h drive to the north tip of Cebu where you board a local Banka boat which brings you to Malapascua Island.

Bantigi is a shallow sandy dive site which gives a lot opportunities to find some rare marine life. There are a lot of fire urchins which host zebra crabs, a real delight for any photographer. Saddle back anemone fishes are plenty, their anemones host porcelain crabs and beautiful colored shrimps. Some rare finds include Pegasus, Stargazer and if you really lucky even a mimic octopus. In the shallows you find a few coral blocks with juvenile reef fishes including the harlequin sweetlip. A relaxed shallow dive with a lot to see.
