Cambaquiz is a drop-off and slope, located on the north-eastern tip of the island. This area is relatively unexplored. There is not a lot of coral on this site, but in the many caves and crevices, baby-sharks can sometimes be found. Turtles are regular visitors to this reef. In a depth of about 30 m you will find a penetrable cave. The slope is located to the east and gradually reaches a depth of around 100 m. Down to about 10 m, a seagrass meadow stretches out over the sand, then you will find different coral formations with a large concentration of life: Stonefish, Seamoths, Harlequin ghost pipefish, 2 species of sea snakes and a lot more.
The drop-off and slope can be done as one dive. It is very important to carefully plan your dive according to current and weather conditions. This dive is preferably done in the morning, but also the night dives here are very rewarding.
