Padre Burgos and nearby San Roque are the start-off point for visitors to Limasawa Island. The towns itself offer some accommodations, have several very nice beaches such as Maamo Beach and Bitu-On Beach and underwater you will find some of the best diving spots in Leyte. Since Leyte is a relatively small island and most tourist attractions are well connected, trips to all interesting sights in Leyte can easily be arranged.
Muck and night diving near the Padre Burgos Jetty is an old time favorite as is diving Turtle Rock and Max Climate Wall, all fantastic and rich dive sites. Tangkaan Point is a popular picnic spot at the southernmost tip of the Padre Burgos peninsula overlooking the island of Lamasawa.
