Camiguin is a small almost circular shaped island in the north of Mindanao. There is one circumferential road of 64 km long making it possible to reach each attraction within an hour from its capital Mambajao. The 4 square km fisherman's island Mantigue is a popular scuba dive destination to the east of Camiguin. White Island in the north has a sandbar that disappears below the surface during high tide and offers some of the best beaches. Camiguin Island can easily be reached from Balingoan and by ferry from Cebu. The main gateway is Cagayan de Oro City located in the northern province of Misamis Oriental, Mindanao.

This small island is formed out of seven different volcanoes with 1552 meters high Mount Hibok-Hibok the most popular. Hiking up this volcano will reward you with views all across the island. You can also hike to Mount Mambajao, Mt Tamping and Mt Vulcan. You can visit the popular tourist spot of Old Vulcano, enjoy the forces of Katibawasan Falls in Pandanare and take a dip at the Ardent Hot Springs. There are quite a few churches on the island, with Sto. Rosario Church and the church ruins of San Roque near Bonbon, being the more famous ones. You can spend the day sunbathing at Agohay Beach, take a look at the Tuasan Falls near Catarman or relax in Tangub Hot Spring.

One of the most interesting dive sites and historic sights is the sunken cemetery. When volcano Daan erupted in 1871, it completely destroyed the former capital Cotta Bato and pushed this cemetery into the ocean. Nowadays, it is marked by a huge white cross floating at the surface. All around the island you can find excellent coral reefs, steep walls, volcanic arches, canyons and small caves.
